A vintage dream in mint

I love what summer do to my room: it makes it all pastely. You see, when may-june arrives, I start to put my summerclothes out, and with that comes all my baby coloured stuff. Dresses, underskirt, cookiejars, necklaces - you name it! One of the things is this dress. It used to belong to my mum, for almost 45 years ago. She had it for her bigbrothers wedding, when she was a flowergirl. It's a bit wrinkled, but I actually like that, it's a great effect to such a simple dress.
I love the tulle, it's really sher and romantic. I would want a dress just like this one, I would wear the crap out of it!
It's homemade, by my old auntie, who also helped me with my promdress. I believe this was one of the first things she actually made herself! It's really well-sewn, and it looks perfect, even though it has quite a few years on it's neck.
I found this little cookie-jar at a fleamarket last week, and I fell in love instantly. Bunnies are normaly not my cup of tea, but I love anything that's related to cookies, so I just had to have this one! It costed me 5SEK/50p/$1, which is really a bargain, if you ask me! :>

PILLERBOX ALÁ ROMANTIC!

I just love this little tiny porcelain-box I picked up a few days ago, at a local charity shop! I don't think that it's a old one, as the print looks kind of .. pixely, but I still really like it! Perfect to store small things in my bag, like earrings or pills! About £1.20, so not bad at all! ^^,

NEW IN: FOXY VINTAGE LADY!

This is exactly why I <3 Ebay & Etsy! I've been on a hunt for a cute, non-expensive vintage dress for quite awhile now, but I've not been able to find anything. Either it's not been my style, or not the right size, or too pricey. One day, I finally found something. A really punkish skaterdress with a pleated skirt, velvet collar and cuffs, in the perfect winter-colours. My size. $10, perfect vintage condition. I was so-so very happy about this. Without much thought, I bought it, and last week it finally got to me!  Fitted like a glove! Nothing to complain about! ^^,

I got the bag from Ebay. I've been looking for this bag for quite some time, after seeing it on other blogs (Cupcake's Clothes have one, in a tan colour). I found one on a swedish site, called Talking Clothes, but that one was a bit expensive for me at £40! I found another one from a british webshop called Temporary Secretary for £18! In the end, I got my from Ebay for around £6! It's not the best of quality, but it's not a bag I'm going to use everyday, so I don't really mind that. Just a fun little thing.

SO SO CUTE right? ^^,

FOUND IT FOUND IT!

Been searching for the perfect dress or pattern for my graduation-prom, and I think i finally found it! (THANK YOU ETSY, ILOVEYOULOTS!) I've always wanted something vintage-like, something that no-one else in my tiny little town will wear! Something big and poofy! But I've come to my senses. .. A perfectly nice 50's dress will do just fine me thinks! And this is the pattern:
It cost about $15 with shipping, which is not too bad, now i just have to find a fabric that I like. Colour? I'm thinking rainbow.

Half a year left.

Yes. I do know, that there is still more than 6 months before I will be needing a promdress, but I can't help but look. I'm probably a bit late, actually. I know plentiful of people that already have their dresses! That's a bit boring if you ask me, there is nothing better than looking at prettiful clothing, and of that, I'm sure.
When it comes to my dress, I have a lot of thoughts! I want something really sweet - and less promish. It can't be in the colour red, dark blue or baby green <- that's what everyone have. I want mine to be gold, orange or yellow. Something that really catches your eye! The style I want is a bit Victorian, think like how they dressed in the 1800 - like royalty!  I might need to sew my own dress, which could be fun - or a disaster.

Why looking through Etsy ( WOOP-WOOP, big surprise) I found this little beauty though! Vintage, baby pink, romantic - but nothing like I've imagined!
It's so lovely, I think I'll melt. The price? A bit out of my range at $825, but still.
Knowing my family though, I think I will end up buying this instead, and get my own touch to it.
I want to feel like a princess, if even just for the day.
